Fast food and vegan restaurant in a quiet area in Lyon.

Fast food and veganism are two words that seem to be totally opposed and yet... Hank has succeeded in reconciling fast food with good food in a peaceful neighborhood in the heart of the city. Hank means "Have a nice Karma". Here, there is no animal matter in the burgers, but homemade with vegetables, a vegan and organic steak and tricks to give taste to the well-made sandwich. The quality is there and the promises kept. Milkshakes, vegan ice cream and good mood for an address in the air of time.

As a vegan, I want to,be positive about vegan establishments. Alas, the experience at Hank Burger was not particularly good. The burger I had was pretty good, actually, but the potato edges were lukewarm. My partner had sweet potato fries with her meal, and they too were lukewarm. The kitchen is open, so one could see in: burgers were precooked sitting beside the cooker. I suppose our potatoes had been prepared quite a while prior to our meal and were not even reheated. Not inspiring. Service was just ok—staff seemed mostly to be interested in having jolly conversations with each other. Food culture in France is taken very seriously, so it is surprising that the basics were so off in our experience. Perhaps on another night it would have been better?

Restaurant très sympathique, les burgers sont très bons, le reste aussi, pas mal de choix, et le cadre est paisible. C'est mon passage obligé chaque fois que je viens à Lyon .

Choix conséquent de burgers/snacks vegans.
Je me suis régalée d'un excellent "Capitaine Hank" avec du simili-poisson , et de très bonnes potatoes wedges accompagnées d'une sauce mayo-moutarde vegan délicieuse.
Les portions sont + que correct.
La décoration est sympa mais l'ensemble mériterait de paraitre un peu plus convivial/chaleureux selon moi.
Bon service , employés sympathique.

Je reviendrai avec grand plaisir :).
