FRESCO CASTLE
Read moreIn Fresnois, a small municipality connected to Montmedy, a beautiful castle is located on the outskirts of the village… Its construction began in the th century and continued until the th century. The annexes are original. The architectural style of the ensemble reflects the influence of artistic currents in the th century: the simplicity of the straight lines of the building, that of columns and ornaments that encradent doors and windows, highlights the exhubérance of the steep roofs of slate and their richly decorated windows. The castle, also filled with a garden, has been classified as a historic monument since 1990.

THE BISHOPS' COOLER
Read moreIt is a place that is often ignored and even more function. The Mussy-sur-Seine cooler consists of a spectacular stone cylinder of 10 m deep and about 7 m in diameter. From the outside, difficult to get a clear idea of the thing. This cooler was in some way the fridge of Langres bishops when they stayed in Mussy during the summer. It is in an excellent state of conservation, rare in France, and is visible upon request at the tourist office.
