The Tour de l'Europe is something of a symbol of Mulhouse. Built in 1972 to a height of 106 metres, it was intended exclusively for residential use. In a sort of soft madness of the concrete modernism in vogue in the 1970s, there was talk of building at least a second one. In the end, the Tour de l'Europe stood alone.... Its twin sister is in Bucharest. For a long time, it housed a revolving panoramic restaurant that made a complete rotation in an hour... perhaps soon to be reactivated?
