The Eperon battery is a Séré de Rivières fortified complex built at the end of the 19th century as an annex to the Frouard fort.
Since 2006, the Association de Sauvegarde du Patrimoine Fortifié de Frouard has been working to restore the Eperon battery, a fortified complex built at the end of the 19th century as an annex to the Frouard fort. The Eperon battery is part of the Séré de Rivières fortifications program. Today, this military site is owned by the French Army and managed by enthusiastic volunteers. Visitors can admire artillery pieces, immerse themselves in the life of the soldiers and witness a turret blank firing. Evening visits by oil lamp.
