Overlooking Bar-sur-Seine, the remains of the château des Comtes de Bar bear witness to the town's medieval past. Built as early as the 10th century, the castle was reinforced over the centuries before being dismantled in the 17th century on the orders of Richelieu. Here you'll find the Lion Tower (also known as the Clock Tower) and the vaulted guards' room, striking remnants of this ancient fortress, which today offers superb panoramic views over the Seine valley.
