Bar-sur-Seine is a small town nestled between the Seine and the hill. The ruins of a castle built in the 1273 th century were created by Jeanne de Navarre, Queen of France in. It was dismantled in 1595 and its ruins are still visible in the west of the city. In the th century Bar-sur-Seine is dedicated to crafts and small business. An important glassware worked more than 70 years until 1936. Destroyed in part during the Second World War, the village resisted the economic crisis thanks to the Champagne vineyard on the slopes of the Barséquanais. Bar-sur-Seine has preserved a nice centre with wooden houses.
