Although the boutique moved to a new location in 2023, the grocery-herbalist store has retained the same spirit. It cultivates proximity and offers gourmet products (cookies, honeys, jams, meads, beers...) as well as an area dedicated to medicinal plants in the form of herbal teas, where you can have your own personalized blend made. You'll also find essential oils, soaps and a whole range of dehydrated aromatic herbs. Auriella organizes plant walks where you can learn to recognize edible and medicinal plants.

1 review

This store is a happy melting pot of local resources. Brin d'herbe is the farmers' store of the Rennes region. Here, you'll discover the finest farm produce from some twenty local producers. There's no doubt about the origin, quality and taste of the products. It's a different way of eating. One that respects the men and women who work there every day to produce exceptional food, most of it organic. We also go there for the conviviality of the place. As soon as you walk in, you stop for a coffee or a bite to eat with family or friends, while the kids have a great time on their own with the games on offer.

Called Lambig into Cornwall, cider brandy is obtained by the distillation of locally produced cider with ancestral recipes and oak tree between 5 to 10 years. Lambig offers this distinctive colour: a slightly amber dress with delicious fruit flavours. Nothing so wonderfuk as taking it for digestif. Otherwise, do not hesitate to takeit with a sorbet, to spice-up a sauce for example, or fish soup. You can also use it for buckling your dishes!

Open - Close to 19h30

Since 1987, Durand Chocolatier has been making numbered chocolates with unchanging recipes that are secretly kept. In its Empire style attire and cocoa decor, the shop is not lacking in style! The first thing you'll notice is the 41 little squares placed behind the counter. All of them compete in quality and finesse, such as the "Compagnie des Indes" (n° 35) whose woody spice alliance is striking. The n° 36, with seaweed, is the most oceanic of all. We also discover the famous cake inspired by the Breton poisoner Hélène Jégado.

In the Pays de Douarnenez, the Boulangerie des Plomarc'h, run by Sylvie and Thierry Lucas for more than 20 years, offers typical Breton specialities. The small red front of this unpretentious bakery is nevertheless clearly visible. Connoisseurs will tell you that here you can taste the best kouign amann from Douarnenez, particularly melting and caramelized. Don't miss the traditional Breton cake, buttered and sweetened to perfection, or the Breton far!

Thursday morning in Dinan is market day! The Place Du-Guesclin and the Place du Champs-Clos are filled with the usual merchants: vegetables, fish, meats, cheeses, breads, ciders, sausages, but also hats, shoes, clothes, jewelry and bags. The place is very busy and it is important to plan to park a little further away, at the foot of the castle or in the nearby residential area. Don't forget to visit La Cohue, Dinan's market place, open from Tuesday to Sunday. Local products are yours!

Benoît Rivalan, his wife Françoise and their children Mylène and Thomas, carry on a tradition that has been followed by the family-in-law for decades. They have all mastered the art of making authentic Guémené andouille. The pork chops are threaded one on top of the other before being smoked, then the andouille is left to dry for many weeks, even months. It is then cooked for 3 to 4 hours in simmering water. This is how it acquires its fragrant taste, and how it can be kept for several weeks after purchase.

Frédérique, the owner, runs this local organic grocery store in the style of the stalls of yesteryear. It's a place where you can stock up and share local news. Here, we understand that eating well is a combination of organic, local and seasonal produce! So we come here once or twice a week to pick up fresh vegetables from the Pipriac market gardener, stock up on pasta, legumes and bulk seeds, good organic bread and even micro-foams. The products come from some twenty local producers. We also discovered the organic zero-waste detergents from solide.bzh. A great address that we'll be sharing by word of mouth without hesitation!
