GROVE HILL HOTEL & HERITAGE MUSEUM
Read moreBy resuming the Stuart Highway to Katherine, approximately 10 km from the branch line of No. 23 and from the Stuart Highway, a 16 km road road connects the Grove Hill Hotel. In the middle of nowhere, but next to the Ferrée railway, stands a simple house with a sheet of sheet metal dating back to 1934 where you can drink a drink, eat and even sleep. In front of the building, a sign explains how gold fever won this region in 1870 when the Land was built in Land Telegraph, and the importance of the Chinese community in the various mines that saw the day. The exploitation of these mines stopped during the Second World War when all the miners, Chinese and European, were ordered to evacuate the sites. In the 1990 s, new operating methods allowed the resumption of activity in certain fields.
