Replica of the base set up on Constitution Dock to discover Mawson's long raid to reach the main base.

Located on Constitution Dock, just 200 m from the starting point of Douglas Mawson's 1911 expedition, this replica of the base promotes the legacy of the 1911-14 Antarctic expedition. It faithfully reproduces the interior and living conditions experienced by the men of this great human adventure, particularly memorable for the long solo raid (160 km) that Mawson made to reach the main base, and mourned by the death of two of his companions.
