Considered as the museum of Australian history and heritage, the majority of the exhibits are dedicated to Aboriginal history and culture. Spread over two floors, the First Australians gallery is the largest exhibition of the museum. It allows you to discover the rich history of the different Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

It is a pretty museum nothing more. There is not much has to do in Canberra it is worth a visit if you must remain several days in this city. Otherwise, that of Sydney and Melbourne are more interesting.
