SIR HENRY PARKES MEMORIAL SHOOL OF ART
Tenterfield-based facility with two sections: one dedicated to cinema, the other to Henry Parkes.
It was here, on October 24, 1899, that Henry Parkes, then Premier of New South Wales, made his speech known as the Federation Speech. This speech was followed in 1901 by the creation of the Federation of Australia. The School Art is divided into two main parts: the one dedicated to the cinema, installed in the old theater hall, and the one that honors Henry Parkes. This museum section occupies the banquet hall where the famous speech took place.
