A museum in Alice Springs showing pioneer living conditions and the first pedal-powered radio.
The story of the Outback's first hospital dating from 1926, established by John Flynn, who also founded the Flying Doctors and the Air School, two vital programs for people living in the bush. Learn about the living conditions of the pioneers at that time in the original building. Be sure to go down to the basement to see the air conditioning system invented by Flynn. Also discover the first pedal radio! The tour is fairly quick and includes coffee or tea at the end.
