Alice Springs Helicopters is a helicopter rental agency located at Alice Springs airport. They offer a variety of scenic flights to discover the wonders of the region. Among the options available is the "Spirit of Mt Gillen" flight, which lasts around 20 minutes and costs $285 per person. This flight offers views of the various mountain ranges, Simpsons Gap, the town of Alice Springs and Mt Gillen, which is steeped in Aboriginal legend of the ancient dog spirit "Uk-nool-ya". There's also the "Mystery Heli Tour" flight, which lasts around 25 minutes and costs $325 per person. This flight is full of beautiful scenery and interesting commentary. For those who want a longer experience, there's the "Total tour time" which lasts around 1h30, including 20 minutes flight time, and costs 415 dollars per person. This flight will take you along the magnificent East MacDonnell Ranges to a secluded spot where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the ancient landscape. You can also enjoy an hour-long picnic. There are other flights available, such as the "Simpsons Explorer" which lasts around 30 minutes and costs $425 per person, or the "West MacDonnells - Grand Tour" which lasts around 60 minutes and costs $850 per person. Located in the East MacDonnell Ranges, the location is famous for its cliffs and streams. Starting point for hiking Trails, the Trephina Ridge Top Walk offers a breathtaking view of the mountains. Count 2 hours walk. Go to 4 x 4 if you get there during or just after the rainy season because the road is not asphalted. It is not uncommon to see dingoes at night but they are not disturbing. The site has three campsites, two of which you can plant the tent. Washrooms are available. This place is not frequented because the West MacDonnell Ranges are more popular. So you'll be more quiet with less world, for just as spectacular points of view.
