A 3 km walkway has been built on a pretty wooden footbridge, overlooking the immense Praia de Alvor on one side and the Ria do Alvor on the other. It is ideal for bird watching (especially during migration) and enjoying the calm of the area. All this while digesting a good meal taken in the village or before a sunbathing break. You will take the time you need to take this short walk, which is essential if you are travelling through Alvor.

In the fortress dungeon, the Military Museum fills several small halls on three levels. Those who, in their childhood, loved the novels of Cape and sword will appreciate the collections of white arms and armor from the th to the th century. A steep staircase leads you to the top of the castle. Grandiose!

Built in 1491, it was designed by Boytac, the architect of the Jerónimos monastery in Belém. It is also called the church of the monastery of Jesus, a convent for nuns of the order of Poor Clares built in 1490 outside the city walls. It is one of the first Manueline style buildings with the superb twisted marble columns of the Arrábida. The 18th century azulejos that decorate the walls of the nave illustrate scenes from the life of the Virgin Mary.

This beautiful church housed the Saint-Sébastien chapel, whose first stones were laid at the beginning of the 18th century. Observers will find confirmation at the base of the arch, the date "17-40" is engraved there. The brotherhood was known to have a large religious influence on the lives of its contemporaries. The sacristy, far from its original purpose of serving as a space to store sacred vessels and priestly vestments, houses a small museum of sacred art.

A forest covered with forest (cedar, eucalyptus, acacias, pine). Its highest point reaches 261,88 m. From its miradouros it offers a beautiful view of the city and beaches. Beware! very uncertain signage: you get lost easily. This is where Parque Aventura is the country's largest park of treetop.
