This cathedral is guarded by the detailed statues of the twelve apostles.

Imposing in its gothic granite, the building is framed by two towers that can be seen from afar. Its facade is an interesting mix between Romanesque and Gothic, elaborated between 1180 and 1204: it is guarded by the detailed statues of the twelve apostles. Inside, the first altar on your left will show you the strange representation of a pregnant Virgin. Next to the church, the cloister is quite massive, with a pretty gothic inner courtyard. From thefirst floor, it offers a magnificent view of the main tower of the cathedral and the city.

Incontournable de votre visite pédestre d'Evora, cette cathédrale est magnifique aussi bien de l'extérieur que de l'intérieur. Entrée payante, accès aux terrasses qui vous permettrons d'avoir de splendides vues sur le bâtiment religieux et la ville. le cheminement de visite est intéressant, très beau cloître et on fini par le choeur et la nef de la cathédrale.

L'architecture est originale et ne ressemble en rien aux cathédrales que nous avons en France. Elle est cependant jolie et mérite qu'on s'y attarde pour découvrir son intérieur.
