This restaurant, officially the most famous in Punta Arenas according to the locals, offers traditional Chilean and international cuisine that doesn't really convince anymore. Don José offers king crab and cordero al palo, as well as other local specialties. You can even stop by the kitchen and watch the lamb being cooked on its spit. In addition to a pleasant Patagonian experience and very friendly service, you are sure to find something to your liking. The menu is generous and will satisfy both adults and children. A really nice family address.

In the former municipal market, restaurants serve the same dishes as elsewhere for significantly lower prices. Less modest than in other markets in the country, the premises of the mercado municipal are rather real restaurants. Here fishing obviously comes from the coasts of the island: quality, fresh and local seafood awaits you on your plate! In the alleys one jostles alongside the inhabitants who also cherish this warm and busy place. You can also buy delicious salmón ahumado (smoked salmon).

A very chilena address and popular with locals. Opened by the chef Manuel Marín, highly esteemed and respected in the town, this restaurant is still in operation despite the death of its creator and offers small dishes of very good quality. A Chilean picada of character, in the old neighborhood of Bellavista, which has been around for 70 years. You can enjoy a good home-made cuisine, "from grandma's house" in a typical decor. It is rich and copious to say the least: pork ham(pernil de cerdo), charquicán, lentejas (lentils), fried fish and its Chilean salad, copious sandwiches... The waiters have a smile and the prices are reasonable. The famous Pablo Neruda used to eat there: why not you? It is better to pay in cash than by card.

If you swallow the kilometers (we think especially of cyclists!) and need to regain strength, the Cocina de Sole will do the job perfectly. It consists of two original and colourful fitted out buses that offer a picturesque view of the mountains. There you will find sandwiches and churrascos. Meat is the main course, but you can ask for the vegetarian option. The cuisine is homemade, with local products and friendly service. Nothing extraordinary, but an address to remember if you're hungry: you'll be full!

Just a stone's throw from the Plaza de la Constitucion, the Blue Jar is the place to be. White-tiled walls, a vast room in the center of which sits a dark wooden bar surrounded by tall, vintage chairs - that's the decor. The atmosphere is that of a popular canteen, a no-frills brasserie populated mainly by locals. When it comes to food, there's plenty to choose from: bagels, toast, sandwiches, empanadas, croquetas, burgers, lasagne, soups, grilled fish, beef fillets or salad, not forgetting the hearty "ounce" and desserts. This small restaurant offers delicious and very hearty dishes of the day that you can accompany with a glass of wine. We find traditional Chilean specialties based on seafood, fish and mutton. Of course, the famous curanto is also present as well as the paila marina with chilli sauce.The portions are particularly pantagruelic: in the kitchen, for sure, you don't go with the back of the spoon, and you can frankly share a dish for two. Vegetarian options are also available.

Gaëtan and his wife (French people who lived in Tahiti) offer in this small brewery what is today considered one of the best tables at decent prices in Santiago. Rabbit with mustard, duck breast with honey, trout meunière, shrimps flambéed in pastis, homemade foie gras terrine, beef bourguignon... the French terroir has made the trip to the Chilean captain and it's all good! Crowded every noon and every evening, on the terrace or inside (reservation more than recommended)

It blows a wind of novelty on Puerto Rio Tranquilo! Opened in 2017, it's the best table in the village! Located on the edge of the village, this restaurant will seduce the taste buds in need of tenderness. Claudio offers local cuisine and brings his personal touch to the classic dishes of the region. Ceviche, lamb, risotto, salmon tartar... everything is delicious, especially the Merluza Austral (hake) and the chocolate mousse with dulce de leche. Finally, we appreciate the warm decoration with ethnic accents. A tasty cuisine at a reasonable price.

Year after year, this Peruvian restaurant is always full. It serves excellent Peruvian, chifa and international cuisine. Most of the dishes are based on sea products but the menu also offers meat, risottos and vegetarian dishes. The patio and the interior decoration are very tasteful: pre-Columbian art rubs shoulders with frescoes of traditional pirogues on the walls. The must? Sip a pisco sour cocktail outside on the terrace while enjoying the pool. A real little nugget!

This small, traditional restaurant is undoubtedly the best in Copiapó to date. Let's embark on a tour of Chile, featuring the country's most emblematic dishes:pastel de jaiba, ceviche, a variety of beef fillets, wild boar, lamb, venison, fish fillets (including an original, the mulata) and rather exotic dishes( emucarpaccio, octopus marinated in olive oil...) make up the establishment's generous menu. The wine list is impressive! The food is truly tasty, and the service is good-natured.

A nice address that offers different fish and meat à la carte, in a definitely tropical decor. The restaurant also has a pleasant terrace where you can drink refreshing cocktails. You will be warmly welcomed by Jorge, always smiling and in a good mood. Here, we prefer to taste the flavors of the sea: tuna ceviche, camarones al pil pil, octopus... even if we appreciate the sweet and sour associations like the pork with honey or shrimp sauce. A simple cuisine, but still creative, good appetite!

This small restaurant offers only a few tables, most of them are located on the terrace. And it could go unnoticed if the dishes were not so good! We highly recommend the camarones al pil pil, the fish soup and the ceviche of course, absolutely tasty. With a pisco sour as a starter, it's all done! Otherwise, try the natural juices, very fresh, based on passion fruit. It's fresh and delicious. The service is very pleasant and provided by a Chilean owner who was married to a Rapa Nui for a long time. An excellent discovery.

A very iodized address! On the waterfront, this picada offers mainly fish and seafood dishes. You can find grilled octopus, tuna, ceviche, shrimps, scallops... try the lenguado, sole, a delight! No sooner said than done, let's board! Here everything is fresh and tasty. The empanadas, offered during the day, will do the trick if you're looking to eat on the go. Very pleasant setting, in a family home that has been converted into a restaurant, with a lovely outdoor terrace. Excellent Chilean and international cuisine: ceviche, beef tartar, conger eel with potato croquettes, southern hake , pork chop, pappardelle... some dishes are divine, and the desserts are sure to please (try the whisky & Oreo). Paola and Osvaldo used to sell their empanadas by bicycle in Bahía Inglesa in 1994. Since then, they have opened this very good and affordable restaurant where everything in the kitchen is reminiscent of the flavours of the ocean. You will discover more than thirty different varieties ofempanadas. Try theostion-queso (scallops/cheese), the jaiba-queso (with crab) or the octopus. The most surprising? The empanada with oyster, promise, freshness guaranteed! The house also offers other Chilean dishes, well thought out and hearty. Great address.

Situated in the city centre, this purple and pink café is mainly dedicated to teas with a well stocked menu. They also serve excellent coffee, natural juices and a good beer. The menu offers an interesting and varied choice of dishes of all kinds (from pizza to fusion cuisine...). Don't forget to accompany your hot drink with a pastry or even an ice cream. A pretty and cosy atmosphere carried by a neat decoration: when it rains, we rush inside with joy!

Depending on the season, in a leather and wood setting or on the terrace in fine weather, you can enjoy steak with aligot sauce, Wagyu beef with pumpkin or the catch of the day with lemon emulsion. But the specialty of the house remains the fish and seafood: the famous Chupe de Locos, a creamy sauté with shellfish, onions and cheese. All very well presented, it is beautiful and tasty! A great discovery for this restaurant that opened in 2017 and already has an address in Santiago. The large windows overlooking the lake make it an address with an intimate and pleasant atmosphere with only twelve tables. We taste meat and fish and menus are offered at lunchtime only. Very recent, but already emblematic, this restaurant makes almost a faultless achievement thanks to its gourmet meals and cosy atmosphere. The staff is attentive, the cuisine creative and refined. On the program, soups, sandwiches, salads, ceviche and typical dishes such as trucha rellena, costilla de cerdo, or salmon ravioli (exquisite!). Good selection of artisanal wines and beers. A taste experience at a very good value for money. The only downside is that the service can be very slow, so make sure you have some time to spare!

In the midst of Laura Hartwig's vineyards, this restaurant enjoys a privileged view of the Colchagua valley. You'll be welcomed by Bruno and Giovannia, who have renovated this adobe house. The restaurant serves delicious recipes inspired by Chilean gastronomy, accompanied by the country's finest wines. The produce is fresh and the menu is mouth-watering... This is the story of a group of friends from Puerto Montt who decided to open a restaurant in Valpo. They renovated this old house and offer typical southern dishes, especially sea food. To recommend in season: the ceviche of locos and shrimps, the levanta muertos ("dead-raiser" or remedy against the "hangover"), a soup based on seafood, smoked pork, fish and vegetables, or the curanto for two (well for three, in fact). Casual atmosphere, hence the sometimes slow service. But the food is really good!

A typical picada very famous in Santiago, opened in 1912. One drinks terremoto (white wine, pisco and pineapple ice cream), of course, the emblematic drink of the place. A picada, which today looks like a cafeteria, well known to Santiaguinos on the road to the South. They love the lomo sandwiches (with pork), particularly copious and delicious, the Italian arrollados and the pailas. Meat lovers will be delighted: you can also buy dried meat, sausages, chorizos, ham or local pâtés. You can also have breakfast: ham, cheese, eggs... everything is consistent and generously served. A simple, efficient and very cheap cuisine!

As its name suggests, this small restaurant with its rustic atmosphere and architecture (wooden slices and pebbles on the walls) offers very good wood-fired pizzas, lamb in all its forms, salmon, pasta and sandwiches. The dishes are homemade and relatively copious. The good news is that the kitchen closes late (sometimes until 1am), so this is the address to remember for freshly landed and particularly hungry travellers! The music playlist is nice, you can even make your own suggestions!

Not really typical because it is brand new, this market offers on the first floor fish shops that flatter the eyes of greedy travelers: huge conger eels and giant crabs in season, but also ceviches in trays for a cheap price. On the second floor, a few small restaurants offer seafood (around $5,000 a dish), including chupe de centolla. Finally, on the top floor, the Vistamar restaurant offers a more varied and elaborate menu, with a beautiful view of the waterfront. A touristy place but very nice.

The cocinerías of this typical market offer a generous, tasty and cheap cuisine. In a very folkloric atmosphere, you will be able to taste the famous Chillán sausage(longaniza), a speciality of the city, but also typical Chilean dishes: turkey cazuela , pastel de choclo, empanadas and pebre cuchareado (untranslatable, but a must for the Chilean aperitif!). One of the most picturesque markets in the country and well worth its reputation. You can also find handicrafts there.

After 16 years as caterers, Pablo Bagnara and Francesca Margozzin decided to take the plunge and open their own restaurant. And it's a success. His boss decided to open a restaurant to showcase his protégé's culinary skills. It was a complete success. Poets, political figures and other glamorous celebrities have all passed through the Confiteria Torres and, steeped in history and culture, the place still exudes charm. Here, you can enjoy delicious seafood starters(ceviches), traditional Chilean dishes and homemade sandwiches.

An original and interesting menu (tapas or dishes) for this recent address, which we especially recommend to savour one of the excellent wines on offer (you will find more than 350 Chilean wines on the menu!) while snacking, as the portions to eat are, alas, not very copious and are a bit expensive. To try: the tasting of three different wine varieties. The team of sommeliers on site speaks Spanish, English and Portuguese. A good address to enjoy wine tastings as a couple or with friends.

You will be able to feed yourself at low cost in one of the eight culinary modules that are offered. We find of course, the typical dishes of the archipelago, well served with good humor by very friendly and smiling locals. A typical Valparaíso restaurant, with a cosmopolitan fauna. You'll taste grandma's cooking, very local and tasty. The menu includes cazuelas - many say they are the best in Valparaíso! - fried merluzas or reinetas, bife a lo pobre, pastel de jaiba or machas a la parmesana. The portions are copious. However, if you don't have time and want to eat on the go, order empanadas: they are very good. Be patient, the service is sometimes a bit overworked.

Open only for lunch on weekdays, and for lunch and dinner on weekends, special care is taken in both plate presentation and service. It is one of the most authentic tables in the city, especially frequented by the locals: a sign of a sure value. Fish and seafood dishes vary according to the season. On the menu, you will also find meats, order a pulmay (curanto in a pan) or locos without hesitating, it's delicious. During the week, at lunchtime, a fixed-price menu will delight those with no money. An address for those who want to be satiated after the meal is over: the portions are very generous. Go to the 1st floor to enjoy the view.

Restaurant reserved for the miners of the company, but it is possible to be served if there is room, and by seducing the boss who is a little madonna of los mineros. The full menu is not too expensive. Hopefully, the dish of the day will be a straight salmon out of the lake.

Cuisine kitchen, in a small place that fills quickly. The hotel was very clean and very clean. Generous portions. Perfect to familiarize yourself with typical Chilean dishes.

A room that resembles the festive hall of some municipalities, with tables aligned as in the, of school canteens, but with television. At noon, a menu is offered at a decent price. The dishes are very good and rich (lenguado or sole).

A rather lively restaurant and bar.

From the street, you can see the foyer, which invites you to come in. The menu is not too expensive, and the cuisine is good and varied. A little dilettante service, but it is not very serious since we are welcomed with kindness and good humour. The Lola gradually becomes an institution, the atmosphere is pleasant at the beginning of the evening, there is someone who plays the piano from time to time, then after dinner the atmosphere is more festive in the backyard where there is a floor: we take a lot of attention during electro evenings or karaoke parties.
