Day 1: Sydney's must-sees

Steps: Sydney

First day in Sydney. Visit the essentials of the city: theOpera House, the Harbour Bridge, The Rocks, the Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA), or Darling Harbour and Hyde Park.

Day 2: Crossing to the north

Steps: Sydney, Newcastle, Port Macquarie, Coffs Harbour, Byron Bay

Cross the famous Harbour Bridge and head north. On the way to Byron Bay, you can make a quick stop at Newcastle, Port Macquarie or Coffs Harbour.

Day 3: Relaxation on the beach

Steps: Byron Bay

Arrival in Byron Bay, famous for its beaches and relaxed culture.

Day 4: Stunning rock formation

You're entering Queensland. See Natural Bridge, a spectacular waterfall that flows through an arch-shaped rock formation.

Day 5: Endless beach, surfer's paradise

Steps: Surfers Paradise, Brisbane

Try your hand at taming the Australian wave and take a surfing lesson. Head for the Gold Coast, where you'll discover 40 kilometers of beaches and resorts, including Surfers Paradise, before reaching Brisbane for the night.

Day 6: Noosa Heads

Steps: Noosa Heads, Hervey Bay

Join Noosa Heads, visit its beautiful national park between forest and ocean and see koalas sleeping peacefully atop the eucalyptus trees just a short walk from the beach. Then head to Hervey Bay.

Day 7: Getaway on K'Gari (Fraser Island)

You will take the boat to reach theisland. Rent a 4x4 before your arrival on K'Gari and discover this beautiful island, huge sandbar.

Day 8: Farniente and swimming

Steps: Fraser Island - K'Gari

Spend this second day on K'Gari exploring the island and enjoying its beauty, unspoilt beaches and freshwater lakes for swimming.

Day 9: Preparation of a cruise in the islands

Steps: Airlie Beach, Whitsunday Island

Continue your road to Airlie Beach, the starting point to the Whitsundays. Book a cruise for one of the many islands.

Day 10: Direction the Whitsundays, a small corner of paradise

Steps: Whitsunday Island

Discover the Whitsundays, an archipelago of 74 islands between the coast and the Great Barrier Reef.

Day 11: Scuba diving

Go diving in the blue lagoons and discover the aquatic flora.

Day 12: After the sea, the forest

Go trekking and explore the rainforest. Late afternoon departure for Cairns.

Day 13: Recreation in Cairns

Steps: Cairns

A day of relaxation in Cairns. Enjoy a day of rafting on the Tully River or explore the rainforest.

Day 14: Discovery of the Great Barrier Reef

Plan a day cruise to visit the Great Barrier Reef and explore this underwater paradise. Diving with masks and snorkel or with bottles.

Day 15: Arrival in the desert

Flight Cairns-Alice Springs. You'll notice the intense contrast between the two destinations. Allow a day to explore this unique city.

Day 16: Glowing landscapes of Ayers Rock

Steps: Kata Tjuta

Head south to Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park and watch the sun set over Australia's most famous monolith: Uluru (Ayers Rock).

Day 17: Hiking around Uluru

Steps: Uluru - Ayers Rock, Kata Tjuta

Get up early to watch the sunrise on the rock. Walk around Uluru for a few hours to get a closer look at the beauty of the monolith. Or fly over it in a helicopter and head to Les Olgas and its Valley of the Winds.

Day 18: Escape to the sheer walls of Kings Canyon

Steps: Watarrka National Park

Head for Kings Canyon, an Outback wonderland. A few hours' walk on the canyon's heights will give you an extraordinary view. Observe Kings Canyon's unique rock formations and discover the Garden of Eden.

Day 19: Visit Alice Springs

Steps: Broken Hill, Alice Springs

In Alice Springs, visit of Anzac Hill from where you will have a breathtaking view of the town and the surrounding mountains. Visit the Royal Flying Doctors and the School of the Air.

Day 20: Around Alice Springs

Steps: West Macdonnell Ranges

Around Alice Springs, take a hot-air balloon ride and a trip into the MacDonnell Ranges to see Simpson Gap and the impressive Standley Chasm.

Day 21: Further north

Steps: Tennant Creek

Head north on the Stuart Highway. Discover the famous Devils Marble, then Tennant Creek, a prosperous gold and copper mining town.

Day 22: Oasis in the desert

Steps: Mataranka, Katherine

En route to Katherine via Larrimah and Mataranka, oases for weary travelers. Bathe in the clear thermal waters of the Waterhouse and Roper rivers before arriving in Katherine.

Day 23: Waterfalls and bodies of water

Steps: Pine Creek

Visit Nitmiluk National Park, where you'll discover Katherine Gorges, then Edith Falls, before returning to the Stuart Higwhay via Pine Creek. Stop at Batchelor.

Day 24: Green expanses

Steps: Humpty Doo, Litchfield National Park

Visit Litchfield National Park, with the Tabletop Ranges plateau, rich in waterfalls, a real paradise. Take the Arnhem Highway. Before arriving at Mary River for your overnight stay, visit Window of the Wetland for a view of the wetlands.

Day 25: Aboriginal rock art

Steps: Kakadu National Park

Visit Kakadu National Park, a World Heritage Site. The park includes several major rock art sites.

Day 26: Wildlife watching

Continuation of the visit to Kakadu National Park. You'll see many species of animal.

Day 27: Game-drive in Kakadu National Park

Steps: Kakadu National Park

For this third day in Kakadu National Park, we take a 4x4 excursion to visit Jim Jim Falls and Twin Falls .

Day 28: End of the stay

Steps: Darwin

Return to Darwin to visit the city and spend the late afternoon at Mitchell Street, Cullen Bay or the Wharf.
