Visit a beautiful canyon to discover the cultural significance of the area and learn about its flora and fauna.

A canyon well worth the price of admission, it's even more beautiful at midday when the cliff faces reflect a fiery red color thanks to the sun's brightness. Several tours are available, including a half-day tour with an Arrernte guide, who will give you an idea of the cultural significance of the place (called Angkerle Atwatye) and information on its wildlife and medicinal and edible plants. Also a tour including a demonstration of dot painting, the Red Centre's dominant painting style (AU$ 180 with lunch).
