LAC DE CURBANS-LA SAULCE
Read moreLocated in the bed of the Durance, on the municipalities of Curbans and La, this artificial lake was bottled in 1975 by EDF. The water plan is also fed by the water from the leak canal of the electricity production plant which flows into upstream. A 17-metre dam, used to regulate the waters of the Sisteron canal, was built downstream. You can stay in one of the two campsites on the East Bank, on the side of Cubans. Fishing is permitted in certain sectors (see conditions), like canoeing and bathing. Côté la Saulce, its west bank, consists of a relatively steep land dike. During migration in April-May and August-September, many naturist settled and observed birds with long views. The north bank has a relatively quiet plateau.
