Pluneret is a small municipality on the Morbihan coast, bounded on the west by the Auray River (Le Loch), and on the east by the Bono River (Le Sal), extensions of the Gulf of Morbihan. The territory is bordered to the north by Sainte-Anne-d'Auray and Plumergat, to the west by Crac'h, Auray and Brech, to the east by Plescop and Plougoumelen, and to the south by Le Bono. Moors, woods, rivers and rias are then accessible to walkers and offer them a multitude of walking paths. Pluneret, and more particularly the castle of Kermadio, was also appreciated by the famous writer Countess de Ségur who stayed there several times!
