Former port of Plougoumelen, Le Bono became a full-fledged commune in 1947, at a time when the Forban, a traditional fishing boat, was living its last days. Fishing and oyster farming were then the two main activities of the families. Today, by taking the Auray-Baden road and the bridge that spans the river, you will discover the most picturesque view of the fishing port of Le Bono. This charming little village of character has pleasant footpaths that run along the river for several kilometers. While walking, you will discover the necropolis of the Rock (tumulus and tombs of Kernours), or the chapel of Béquerel.
