Tréméreuc is a small town located 9 km from Dinard and 5 km from the Rance. Where the current Place de la Butte stands, there used to be a motte, the remains of an ancient castle probably built around the 9th century. In the 19th century, its granitic subsoil modestly contributed to the construction of the Dinan Viaduct. The town was the scene of violent clashes between American and German soldiers during the Second World War, a defensive line having been erected between Tréméreuc and Pleurtuit. Nice gites and guest houses welcome tourists.
