Evran is the "country of the Faluns", a blond limestone rock with abundant fossils that has been, along with the cultivation of flax, the main source of wealth in the area. As a result, the architectural forms are original and differ from the classical houses made of schist and granite that characterize Brittany. Indeed, the stone and the sand of the faluns were very early used for the constructions. Go on hiking trails to discover places with churches and castles, without forgetting the Upper Rance Valley and its canals, including the Ille-et-Rance canal and the Bétineuc pond with its beach and aquatic activities.
