His name is known all over the world. For its white wine, of course! Surrounded by some 4,200 hectares of vines, Chablis is said to have originated in the 6th century. And it was in the 11th century that Charles the Bald donated this land to monks from Tours fleeing Norman attacks. Religious then planted the vineyard and, thanks to the port of Auxerre and the proximity of Paris, they made it known. Today, Chablis and its region offers an exceptional wine with a worldwide reputation, but also superb landscapes, the opportunity for beautiful walks, and a particularly rich heritage. With, of course, many cellars and good restaurants to discover.
