Stay : The Burgundy wine routes

Each vineyard proposes, of course, its specific route. To do so, signs will guide your way, especially in the Chablisien and Tonnerrois regions. But you are free to move away from the vineyards to discover the parallel heritage of this geographical area.

Day 1: The Chablisien

Steps: Chablis, Pontigny

Your starting point is in Chablis where you must visit the village, its beautiful church, its narrow streets, its shops (the andouillette is king!), and of course its cellars. Then, 15 kilometers north, you will visit the superb Cistercian abbey of Pontigny and, why not, the Angst vineyard located just next door. Here, the monks have left their mark. You will then have to retrace your steps. In Chablis, many winegrowers have hotels or guest houses at your disposal.

Day 2: The Tonnerrois

Steps: Chablis, Tanlay, Tonnerre

Direction Tonnerre, 15 minutes away, to discover its Fosse Dionne. Don't hesitate to make a detour toEpineuil, Dannemoine, Molosme, Junay and Vezinnes which, along with Tonnerre, are the main wine-producing towns of the Tonnerre region. And take the opportunity to discover the landscapes and the villages in the surroundings, starting with Tanlay where the castle and a superb gulf await you. Finally, to end your journey, stop at the castle of Béru located on the hillsides between Tonnerre and Chablis. The perfect alliance between wine and heritage!
