The south of Samothrace is guarded by the triangle of villages of Profitis Ilias, Lakkoma and Dafnes. Profitis Ilias dominates the whole, with its nice street shaded by big trees, its grilled meat specialties and its panoramic view. Below, one can reach the beach of Lakkoma and the hills of Dafnes. Beyond, the road to the south becomes more solitary, until the touching church of Panagia Krimniotissa, perched on its rock or until the sandy beach of Pachia Ammos, the most famous of the island. When you arrive, a few taverns and beach bars break the serenity of the place a little, but offer a welcome shade; the left side is more quiet.
