Beyond the airport, the beaches along the coast are less concreted over and the big resorts give way to more human-scale establishments. At last, you can start to breathe! 10 km from Ialyssos, the long sandy and pebbly beach of Theologos stretches for 10 km: some areas are organized, with deckchairs and parasols, sometimes tamarisk trees offer shade, and everywhere the wind blows. Indeed, Theologos beach is renowned for its kitesurfing and windsurfing spots. To see the region's other major natural attraction, you need to head for the Petaloudes or Butterfly Valley, some 15 km inland.
