It was in 1961 that the locality adopted its Turkish name (which means "Dawn") to replace its Greek name "Farilya". On the hillside, lined with pine trees, one can marvel at the houses of notables and the stone tombs of the Lelegeans, a people of Anatolia who lived here before the Ionians. 15 minutes by boat, the island of Apostol hosts a Byzantine church decorated with frescoes. The seaside is one of the most charming of the peninsula. During the day, the town offers its white sandy beach in the center of town, ideal for a refreshing swim. In the evening, it is very quiet. You will be able to stay comfortably, but the tranquility has a price.
