Crossed by the crystalline stream that gave it its name, Gualba is anchored in the Santa Fe valley, at the extreme north-east of the Vallès Oriental, deploying natural landscapes of great beauty. The journalist, art critic and Noucentista philosopher Eugeni d'Ors set the scene for his 1915 novel "Gualba la de mil veus" ("Gualba, that of a thousand voices"). Beautiful walks through the "Baix Montseny", punctuated by majestic waterfalls, such as the Gorg Negre ("Black Gorge") or the Salt of Gualba, are to be done in the surroundings. The more experienced (and motivated!) can follow the PR-C 211 which will take them to the idyllic Santa Fe valley from the Gualba train station.
