This seaside resort is very popular with Catalan and European youth, but unfortunately it is a perfect example of what concrete tourism has left behind in some parts of the Costa Brava. You will be able to make do with the small historic centre of the town, which houses the church of Santa Maria and the palace of the viscounts of Cabrera, and still enjoy the gardens for which it is famous, as well as the beautiful beach. Good walkers can walk from Blanes to Lloret de Mar in three hours, following a signposted path (GR) that is often inland, but which leaves and arrives at the seaside.
