This tiny village at the foot of the hills lies some 30 km from Sighișoara and 40 km from Târgu Mureș. Romanians and Hungarians came to settle here when almost all the Saxons went into exile in the 1990s. Cund (German: Reussdorf) is home to a fortified church, built by the Saxons in the 15th century (except for the clock tower, which dates from 1804). Today, the building is in poor condition, but restoration work has begun.
