Travel Guide Buneşti

This village is about 30 km from Sighișoara, on the road from Brașov. Around Bunești (German: Bodendorf), the hills are gentle and planted with numerous willows. There are also hop fields, hence the poles and wires which, when the plant isn't investing them, form a curiously squared-off landscape. The village boasts a church whose tower was used to dry sausages. A few kilometers away, a little way off the road, Roadeș (German: Radenthal) is dominated by an elegant peasant citadel built between the 13th and 16th centuries. The church in the center is particularly imposing.
