The lobster capital hosts an annual celebration surrounding the launching of the cages and the arrival of the new lobster (late April or early May). The culture of the blue mussel is also practiced there. The tip of the island offers a striking spectacle; it is here that the event La Mer sur un plateau takes place in the summer, a festival celebrating the maritime lifestyle. In the summer, dozens of colorful inshore fishermen's boats dance along the docks. The village of Grande-Entrée, where the road stops, is home to a resort (La Salicorne, we recommend!) and a few stores and businesses.
