This far northern tip of the world is a beautiful end of the world, marking the western end of the Northumberland Strait. The lighthouse (1866) stands out against the windswept red sandstone cliffs, where you can hear the roar of seals. It is also the site of the Wind Energy Interpretation Centre - you'll see a few wind turbines in the area - which also includes an aquarium, restaurant and gift store. For hiking, the Black Marsh Trail runs along the longest rocky reef in North America. North Cape is the name of the tourist circuit in this part of the island.
