The commune is located the northernmost of the territory and the highest in altitude, offering beautiful panoramas towards the valleys of the Saône, Vaux and Dheune. It is a village, a borough and its three hamlets, whose origins date back to the Gallo-Roman period, a period of which a trace remains clearly visible above the portal of the small Romanesque church, with a fragment of Gallo-Roman stele used in the masonry of the building. A 9 km green walk entitled "Hiking from the castle" starting from the village church.
