Jurêre, in the north of the island, is quite urbanized and has, like its cousin Inglese, many pousadas, as well as many clubs where all the young Brazilians of the region flock to attend electro parties all summer long (and every weekend out of season). Most of the clubs are inland, however, and are served by all the hostels in Conceiçao and Barra, which charter minivans to take clubbers around. So there is no need to stay in the north to enjoy it. However, it is not very common for French people to go to Jurêré for the electro parties! Ibiza and David Guetta are closer!
