It is the capital of the valley where the Freser, Segadell and Rigat rivers meet in the hollow of high mountain walls. Carried by an agricultural and mining tradition, the town has long lived from the paper and textile industries. Today, thanks to its strategic geographical location and the abundance of its mineral water springs, it has turned openly to tourism. Among other things, we will have the opportunity to discover the remains of the Sant Pere castle and an exhibition on the cog railway that once left Ribes de Freser to reach the Sanctuary of Núria, high up in the mountains.
