This small village of 600 inhabitants located in the Pyrenean valley of Salazar (take a tour at the Nature Interpretation Centre) is one of the most picturesque: its medieval bridge, cobbled streets, medieval palaces and pretty emblazoned houses with flowered balconies. The Sanctuary of Nuestra Señora de Muskilda, a 12th-century Romanesque chapel (restored in the 17th century) on the top of the eponymous mountain, is worth a visit, especially for its conical-roofed tower. The church of San Juan Evangelista dates from the 11th century and houses three Renaissance-style altarpieces (16th century). Cross-country skiing can also be practised on the Abodi-Salaza trails.
