At the confluence of the rivers Lamasón and Nansa, this small town is known to host the cave of Chufín, one of the 10 Spanish caves classified as UNESCO heritage. Discovered in 1972, it houses some of the oldest cave paintings in Spain, dated for some 20 to 25 000 years.
