Graufthal is best known for its natural caves carved into the cliffs, first used as warehouses, then converted into semi-troglodytic dwellings in the 18th century. Inhabited until 1958, these "Houses of the Rocks" can now be visited during the tourist season. But Graufthal is also known for its two churches. The former mixed church became a protestant church in 1904. There was no organ at that time, and the first instrument in Graufthal was built in the new catholic church. This three-stop positive was installed here in 1981 by Gaston Kern. It is a remarkable Positif-armoire.
