Travel Guide Daxi 大溪

Two original sites finish the walk along the northeast coast: Daxi (at kilometer 126), also spelled Dasi so as not to confuse it with the homonymous district south of Taipei, and the Beiguan Tidal (at kilometer 130). Better known as Honeymoon Bay (蜜月灣, the honeymoon beach), Daxi is certainly a romantic place for its white sand, but no less extreme for the height of its waves, which make surfers happy. The best way to get to Daxi from Taipei is by train. Once there, you only have to walk about 600 m along the coast to get to the beach. A little further south, the Beiguan Tidal Park offers beautiful views of the sea: enough for a walk of an hour or two!
