It has about 125 inhabitants and preserves some baroque houses with interesting architecture and a beautiful palace with a coat of arms built in the 18th century. It is named after San Zoilo, a young man who was martyred in the year 304 in Córdoba, and whose relics are kept in the Benedictine monastery that bears his name in Carrion de Los Condes, some 250 km west of Sansol. In Sansol you can visit the baroque church of San Zoilo, built in the 17th century, which preserves a Gothic sculpture from the 14th century. A pleasant stroll through the village along the narrow streets, with many corners to rest and take a break to get back on track.
