This village of 117 inhabitants (in 2023) is home to one of the finest examples of late Romanesque architecture in Navarre: the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, a singular structure linked to the Pilgrim's Way to Santiago de Compostela from its very beginnings. Its octagonal plan is reminiscent of the basilica in Jerusalem. The 16th-century Church of San Andrés (built on the ruins of an even older church), with its interesting altarpiece, can also be seen at the top of the town, overlooking the narrow streets lined with 17th- and 18th-century mansions with coats of arms. In the Plaza de los Fueros, the village's main square, you'll find a grocery store where you can stock up on provisions.
