At 1,624 m, Monte Lema is one of the highest peaks in the Lugano region. It offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Malcantone, Monte Bre, Monte Generoso, the Po plain towards Milan, Lake Maggiore and the Valais mountains. It's also a perfect spot for paragliding and hang-gliding. The small village of Miglieglia lies at the foot of Monte Lema and its winter sports resort. It's an ideal place for families. The village has preserved some traces of its medieval past, such as the churches of San Ambrogio and Santo Stefano, with their Romanesque bell towers and 12th and 13th century frescoes.
