Belleydoux is one of the communes of the Haute-Combes here was built the first cheese cooperative in France in 1820. The buildings of these "fruit" were sometimes called "model chalets" and allowed farmers to put their milk together to make large cheeses. The movement quickly spread to the whole Jura, and took advantage of the production of the county.
