Considered one of the most beautiful villages in the Jura, Les Bouchoux boasts a church typical of the region, with its domed, pointed steeple. Les Bouchoux is an ideal place to stay or eat at its farmhouse inn. There are several hiking trails to discover the area, both from the top and from the heart of the village, as well as a marked snowshoe trail on the Croix des Couloirs site. Despite its modest size, the village has a very active cultural and sporting life! A snowshoe race, "La Juraquette", is held here every year in mid-February, and a medieval festival livens up the village streets on August 15.
