Travel Guide Bukovel (Буковель)

Located near the village of Polianytsa, 90 km west of Ivano-Frankivsk, Bukovel is the Ukrainian ski resort. Formerly a quiet small station, it was acquired and restored to the day by a oligarch from eastern Ukraine and opened in 2003-2004. With its 60 km of slopes on five mountains at a height ranging between 900 m and 1 370 m, it aims to be the best central European station. This is probably the case and prices are still quite reasonable if compared to the Alps, even if compared with the Ukrainian standards, it is a cheap resort. The infrastructure is very developed with a wide range of high-quality hotels, restaurants, panoramic bars, a bicycle rental point and a system of roads that can easily reach Bukovel.
