Located 17 kilometers south-west of Donegal, Rossnowlagh is a huge beach - really huge, with a stretch of sand no less than 3 kilometers long - and has been awarded the Blue Flag. Ideal for long walks! A few small houses have sprung up here and there, including a beautiful hotel and a surf school, the Fin McCool Surf School. After all, Rossnowlagh is a popular spot for local surfers who come to enjoy the perfect swell. Kitesurfers can also get in on the action as soon as the wind picks up. In the early 1990s, a stage of the World Surfing Championships was even held here. To your boards!
