Five streets and one place (James Street, The Mall, Mill Street, Shop Street, Bridge Street, The Octagon)… yet! It emerges from this small town a charming, present and very discreet charm, a kind of balance between daily activity and the seaside promenade. It is probably due to its singular architecture, designed for the Comte d'Altamont in the th century, which combines a pleasant canal, The Mall, an original square, The Octagon, and a line of flight to the port. The wealth of the surroundings (we are on the outskirts of Connemara, next to Achill Island) makes this city a very pleasant stop, ideal if you have young children.
