Between the meandering shores of the lake, cut into multiple strips, lie hidden gems of castles, caves, cellars and unspoilt natural areas... This part of the lake, the more upstream of the two, has been a Ramsar site since 1997, a classification that recognizes it as a wetland of international importance. There's so much to discover in the south of Enniskillen, and the Anglo-Irish families of the 18th century made no mistake in building some of Ireland's most majestic castles (Florence Court, Coole, Crom Castles). A must-see when visiting the region.
